Well, the plan was for Brody to go home this morning (Sat.), but he threw up again right when he woke up and he was messing his diapers way too frequently for them to let us go, so we are still here and will hopefully go home tomorrow morning. He tested positive for rotavirus, which is odd, because he had that when he was 8 weeks old and should have been immune to it we're told. So that is what made him so sick (and the rest of us!). Things have really slowed down and he just got the okay to try crackers, toast and dry cereal, so when he wakes up we'll try it out. He was asking for cookies earlier so that was a good sign. Here are a few pics from today. We appreciate all the thoughts and prayers!
Brody saw Daddy drinking pop today and decided he'd like some pop...he never drinks pop! The nurses said 7-up would be fine, so they gave him some. After we realized he will drink out of the can (we were still having trouble getting him to drink anything), the nurse took the can, dumped out the pop and poured Gatorade in the can. He's now downed 2 whole cans of Gatorade!
Brody was pretty excited when Grandpa Ken brought Aubree up to see him. He loved the Scooby Doo balloon she brought him!
